Consultation for Alternative Provision at Pegasus Academy

Dudley Academies Trust’s Application to the Department of Education to make a significant change to Pegasus Academy – the establishment of an Alternative Provision (AP) Base.

Dudley Academies Trust invite you to engage in a formal consultation process about our proposal to locate an AP Base at Pegasus Academy. This has been approved by the Local Authority.

The Pegasus AP will serve the four secondary schools in our Trust. It will be separate from the main school with its own separate entrance, specialist facilities and staffing. It is anticipated that the capacity of the Pegasus AP will be for approximately 40 to 50 learners. Key Stage 3 places will be mainly six to twelve week ‘turnaround’ placements and some learners in Key Stage 4 will be based in the AP permanently benefitting from some high quality vocational programmes provided by our sponsor, Dudley College of Technology.

The consultation process will run from Monday 20th May to Friday 7th June 2024. If you have any questions or would like to express your opinion, please email info@dudleyacademiestrust.org.uk.  An application will then be submitted to the Department for Education.

Provided below are copies of the CEO Letters which will have been shared with parents/carers and local primary and secondary Headteachers.
