Five Dudley Academies Trust schools have received National School Attendance Awards from FFT, recognising their achievements in supporting strong and improving attendance.
Beacon Hill Academy and St James Academy were both recognised among the top 10% of the most improved FFT secondary schools in England for the 2025/26 academic year. The Link Academy was named among the top 25% of the most improved FFT secondary schools nationally.
At primary level, Kates Hill Primary School was recognised among the top 25% of the most improved FFT primary schools in England for the 2025/26 academic year. Blowers Green Primary School also received an award for its Summer Term attendance, placing it among the top 25% of similar FFT primary schools nationally.
These awards reflect the commitment shown by learners, families and colleagues across the schools. Every day in school matters, helping learners to build confidence, develop positive routines and make the most of the opportunities available to them.
Across Dudley Academies Trust, all schools place a strong focus on supporting attendance. Teams work closely with learners and families to understand individual circumstances, celebrate positive attendance and provide timely, practical support where it is needed. This shared approach is rooted in care, partnership and the belief that every learner should feel known, valued and ready to succeed.
Tracy Hill, Strategic Attendance Lead for Dudley Academies Trust, said:
“These awards are a wonderful reflection of the shared commitment to attendance across our Trust. Our school attendance leads work tirelessly to support learners and families, sharing good practice and providing thoughtful, practical help so that every learner has the best possible opportunity to attend, belong and thrive. I am incredibly grateful for their dedication and for the teamwork shown by colleagues in all of our schools.”
The Trust is proud of the progress recognised by FFT and thanks learners, parents and carers, and colleagues for the part they continue to play in building a culture of strong attendance across its family of schools.
