Our Governors

We are pleased to have an active, supportive and challenging Governing Body representing a range of experience and expertise. The full Governing Body meets once per term. Additionally, there are two committees, which meet once per term in the weeks preceding the Full Governors’ meeting. Our governors play an important role in our school. They are involved in a regular and rigorous programme of evaluation and monitoring to ensure that they have a thorough understanding of our school’s work. They also link with classes and teachers to gain a child’s eye view of Greenfield. They maintain a presence in our school through their excellent attendance at meetings and events in our school community throughout the year.

None of our governors has declared an interest on the register of business interests.  The registers are available, should you wish to view them.

Emma Kilbride

Chair of Governors & Co-opted Governor (Appointed 02/02/2016, Current Term: 11/07/2023 to 10/07/2027)

"My children all attended Greenfield and I  got involved in governance because I wanted to support my local community and have a positive impact on securing the best outcomes for all our children. I come from a compliance background and am responsible for Health and Safety, as well as being the Chair of Governors."

Michelle Westwood

Co-opted Governor (Appointed 31/08/2015, Current Term: 31/08/2023 to 30/08/2027)

“Both my two children were pupils at Greenfield before moving up to Redhill. I am Chair of the Curriculum Committee and I also have responsibility for Maths, the PE & Sport Grant and Health & Safety.”

Suzanne Cutler

Vice-chair of Governors & Co-opted Governor (Appointed 09/12/2016, Current Term: 26/02/2021 to 25/02/2025)

“I am a former lawyer and full-time mum of three, all of whom have attended Greenfield.  They all feel privileged to be part of the Greenfield family.  I have been a governor for over six years and I am currently chair of the staffing and finance committee.”

Guy Carpenter

Co-opted Governor (Appointed 20/10/2022, Current Term: 20/10/2022 to 19/10/2026)

“As a Senior Leader in a multi academy trust and a teacher of maths, I have a wealth of experience that draws on 15 years of being in the education profession.  I have a firm belief that every child should have the opportunity to achieve their full potential. I can make an important contribution to the school governing body that could impact positively on the Greenfield Primary School’s inclusive community and culture.  As a parent of two boys, one who has recently moved from Greenfield to secondary education and one who is currently enjoying Year 3, I relish the opportunity to pay back the education, care and holistic develop that they have and are benefitting from.”
